Highly recommended AAA moving & Storage. No issues, great pricing, showed up on time, exceeded our expectations, no damages. All the most important things to us right there. We will definitely use them again.

Not a good move

We moved from Dallas area to Florida. They were nice when giving the estimate but receiving goods took awhile because it was never explained how our items were shipped. A random trucker is used and he waited around to fill his load. Then he insisted on money order which we were never told and it was Sunday. We had used a credit card for down payment. This of course delayed our goods. This was our 13th move and we have never been treated like this. Very unprofessional. We tried to use their insurance for items broken. The insurance broker they use awarded us for damages a very small amount and the company is to issue the payment. Almost a year later have not seen it. Insurance was worthless. Would not recommend this company!

A word of warning to folks that are deciding to move. Please do your research thoroughly and consider the ratings and reviews from other users. This was a complete nightmare. You truly get what you pay for.
My experience with this moving company is not something I would wish on my worst enemy. None of my boxes were missing or damaged, but my furniture was another story. However, the movers were exceptionally nice, but that’s because they are a third party contractor and do not work for AAA Moving & Storage.
The reinforced steel frame and both my meals were morbidly bent, leaving my tv stand to slant at an angle. I paid to have my luxury plush cashmere mattress placed in a box. I was charged $63 along with the ridiculous 3% credit card fee and of course tax. It came in a half plastic wrap, was soiled and ruined as seen in the photo. When I had to repeated ask them to reimburse me, which took three weeks later, I was told only $63 would be reimbursed and not the credit or tax fee, as this came from my original deposit. However, this was not part of the original deposit. It was tacked on when the movers arrived to my apartment. This is an unfair and unethical practice.
Lastly, my bed arrived with the frame with the exception of the center support beam, the wooden slates and missing screws. I now have a useless Queen Size frame, until I can find a carpenter to replace the missing materials.
I placed a claim with CSI, the mediator for the moving company and of course they denied my claim for the bed, as they could not find or justify the weight, even though I had included in the link and pictures from the furniture company.
Overall, I had to replace my mattress, bed frame and tv stand for $5,000. Had I know, I would’ve taken the offer with Allied Movers a reputable company.
Please don’t fall for their gimmick of ratings from HomeAdvisor, Angie’s List or BBB. If you read through the complaints, you will see none of their pass issues were resolved.
They are not a moving company. They are a company that contracts out to third party movers that are not reputable. So after they have your contract and money, they do not care what happens to your belongings.

Interstate Moving Experience with AAA.

I hired AAA for a moved from Dallas to Miami. The salesperson, Jason, was always very courteous and responsive (more on that in a bit). I was moving to my new apt. complex in Miami on 3/1. They picked up my stuff on 2/21, a full week before my moving date because Jason told me the earlier they picked up my stuff the higher the likelihood it would get there by 3/1.
Long story short, my stuff got here on 3/12 (-1 one star), which I can someone understand, but in the meantime, they were very unresponsive. I was the one that was always calling to check in and Jason blocked my phone number.
None of my stuff was damaged/broken, so I applaud them for that, but my other problem was that they promised to assemble my furniture once they got here, which they did not. The movers claimed it was because they had to carry the stuff further than originally agreed (which was true) but I offered to move it myself to my apartment so they could assemble it, but still they refused.
I think these guys are brokers (not movers themselves) who work with other companies to get shipments moved across the country, rather than doing it themselves.
I ended up paying $1245 instead of the $999 quoted. They said it was because I went over my cubic feet allocation, but they never actually measured it (all items listed on the quote were the ones I sent).
This was my first time moving so I probably had some unrealistic expectations, but I still believe this company can do a much, much better job. AAA’s quote was also the cheapest one I got, so there’s also that.
Moving forward I’ll probably just rent a Uhaul if/when I move again. It might be more physical work, but that’s preferable over the stress of not knowing where your stuff is/when you’re going to get it.

Furniture was damaged upon arrival. Pictures of damaged items were furnished to the local Dallas office (Sophia Harris). I filed a claim (No: 320-336) with AAA Moving insurance (CSI Carrier) that included specific instructions of (1) pictures of the damaged items, and (2) comparable replacement costs with specific weight of each item. Damaged items included 3 bookcases, 1 was a 150 lb custom build, 2 other smaller ones, and a refrigerator door (dented) preventing proper closure on the refrigerator door. The final claim was submitted to CSI for $159.00
After 90 days of no response from AAA, CSI provided the attached letter.
(I left 3 phone messages, for Sophia, of which none were returned)
The claim was never resolved. DO NOT use this service!!
BTW – The driver of the truck moving our furniture did NOT possess a commercial drivers’ license.
