Adams Van Lines is a booking agent who reserves truck space with a carrier for a customer’s shipment. This company understands the need to be professional in offering cross-country moving services due to the stress that can be involved and the amount of paperwork and legal compliance required before the service can be rendered.

Find any other company to move your stuff
Denny Fleming is the worst customer rep I’ve ever dealt with. He misquoted me by telling me he had everything I requested in our contract but literally left off a sectional couch, fake plant, heater, fans, hockey bag, 9 foldable chairs, 6 kitchen chairs, 1 foldable table, a camping grill, tent, canopy for camping, all the size of my pictures after I went over specific dimensions, missed 20 pictures I mentioned out of 25 total, said we could have trash bags filled with soft blankets (which after we signed a contract you can’t do with this company), missed another small heater, 2 fans, 1 tv, a cpu monitor, 2 end tables, and a pair of Longhorns. He repeated all of these items back to me and left them off of the final contract and quoted me for 6,400$. Fast forward to the day before moving I get a call (from Ron) that all this stuff was never mentioned and I have to pay 1,200$ To reserve the rest of the space in our truck so this company won’t pick up another 2 bedroom apartment with our stuff. Denny of course never mentioned this either. He also told me we had 10% leeway on boxes so if we had 100 and we had 10 extra it was no charge. When the new rep contacted me (Denny wouldn’t respond to me) they said that he should have never said that and that isn’t their policy at all. 1 day later a new person calls me after Ron contacted me and said Ron no longer works with the company and of course he was supposed to follow up with me, then a new rep Colleena contacted me and said it’s not 1,200$ to reserve the truck and it would be an additional $4,000+ to reserve the truck and Ron shouldn’t have quoted me for $1,200. No one in this company knows what anyone else is doing and it literally just compromised my entire move to another state. I would highly highly recommend never using this company unless you want some shady people to work with that will lie to you about costs to get you roped in and pile it on later and only blame it on other people. This was such a bad experience I felt the need to write this review. Denny Fleming is a con artist if you ask me.

Thank you for your review Zed.
They are different
Adams Van Lines is very well reputed as a moving company. So I had to hire them for my last move. Their quote was absolutely unbeatable. Their customer service was really good. They helped me out with a superb quote. The movers were the best part about the company. They took no time in packing up my apartment. The delivery was made on time and all of my valuables travelled excellently. I can certainly recommend them to everyone.
I got a recommendation from a friend to book Adams Van Lines. He recommended 3 people thankfully because it would have taken longer with 2. Everything was very clear and there were no surprises on the quote vs the actual move.
We used them again and they were just as awesome as last time. Thank you for being on time, efficient, and making our move as stress free as possible.
My personal belongings are 12 business days past due per the contract I’ve signed with the broker. I am under the suspicion they are stolen/lost. Adam’s Van Lines is the broker in this situation. Per the contract, and a confirmation in an email exchange, my personal items were to be delivered 3-21 business days. As of 9/16/2020, the items are 12 business days past due. The Adam’s Van Lines salesman explained that his company only hires 4+ star rated carriers. I just went through the 50 most recent google reviews on the carrier that they provided, True State Moving Services Inc, and all 50 reviews are a 1 star rating. Adam’s Van Lines never told us who the carrier would be up until the delivery pick up date. It makes me question if Adam’s Van Lines performed necessary due diligence on True State. I’ve already filed a separate complaint against True State. On 7/30/2020, True State sent two men to pick up my household belongings. The household items consisted of a queen bed, bed frame, 2 nightstands, 1 dresser with mirror back, 1 makeup desk, 1 8ft x 10ft rug, a 50inch tv, tv stand, sectional couch, mail table, computer desk, 3 office chairs, kitchen items (pots, pans, silverware, blender), 2 closets worth of clothes, 2 golf bags with golf clubs, and invaluable personal items (40+ snow globes, family pictures, etc). In mid August (~10 business days after 1st date available for delivery), I attempted to contact the Adam’s Van Lines customer service team to get an update on the delivery. The call went to voicemail time after time again during business hours. After realizing that wasn’t working, I contacted the sales team who would instantly transfer me over to the customer service team. The customer service rep, Alyssa Rugarcia, was never able to provide an update and would consistently say that she would call back but never did. I’ve attached my contract and email exchange below. At this point, the goods are 11 business days past due and I assume that my belongings are lost or stolen.
I desire Adam’s Van Lines to force True State to deliver my personal belongings ASAP with full reimbursement for the final payment of $1143.88, if they actually possess my belongings. If my belongings are lost, I desire that Adam’s Van Lines fully reimburses me for the deposit payment ($1027.32), second payment ($1144.00), and a full reimbursement for my personal belongings which I will value if they are in fact stolen or lost. An estimate of my personal belongings is $10,000+, not to mention all the invaluable personal items that I will never get back.
