Calgary to Ft. St. John
This was our first time using a moving company despite moving several times. Moving from Calgary to Fort St. John, B.C. With a new baby and my husband working out of town it was a huge decision for us to make. I phoned several well known and highly recommended moving companies and was feeling pretty discouraged with not only the rates but the lack of personalized service. I wasn’t confident that I wouldn’t get raked through the coals with hidden fees at the end of the day. Then I spoke with Keith. I told him my concerns with quotes being ridiculously high or being quoted based on a couple general questions over the phone. He arranged to do a walk through of my place and guaranteed me a flat rate so as to be sure my concerns were addressed.
Moving day came and these boys were ready to go. They brought extra materials to help me finish up the last few boxes and worked their butts off to get everything loaded as quickly and efficiently as possible. I was beyond impressed with their work ethic and was even more confident after watching them work.
I highly recommend these guys. Keith, Jas and the boys are great people and really go above and beyond!
Everything went perfectly and all the staff were outstanding. The delivery came in as quoted.
Horrible. 50% more cost than almost any other movers, they sub-contract out to third rate companies that are often dishonest & incompetent. They showed up late (a day late), they had added charges that I didn’t agree to beforehand, they did thousands of dollars in damages to property.
Do not use this company for long distance moves!
It has been 3 years since our move from Calgary to the east coast of the U.S. We had limited choices when it came to companies that would handle such a move. We tried to make the best choice. WE WERE SO WRONG! Scarcely a week goes by, when we don’t lament that decision. We tried to be respectful of the actual packers and movers, providing them with food, drink and thanks.
The list of things that went awry may be longer than I can post here. A portion of the shipment was sent to Toronto where it sat in the driver’s storage? We drove for a long distance to access the “early out” portion of our belongings, only to discover the wrong items! When we finally received the shipment, we discovered so many items damaged, including a number of irreplaceable family antiques, some of which were beyond repair. When we sought compensation for the damage, we were up for a battle. It took months of back and forth and we finally gave up on some items. I writing this review so much after the fact because we significantly downsized and there are some items we are just now searching for and discovering that: a) they were broken or b) they are no where to be found! This was not our first major move, but it was the most careless and irresponsible. SAVE YOURSELVES THE HEADACHE! You’d probably be better off hiring a covered wagon with a team of oxen. These people are incompetent!
