2 week delay

Beltmann is the worst relocation group for logistics moving. Your shipment will be delayed for at least 2 weeks and their attitude is super bad, arrogant, and irresponsible.

Do not recommend

It was a “nice” attempt. They showed up in masks (though they took them off frequently) and were chatty and moved all of our stuff in boxes like they’re meant to but then we had a very expensive electronic go missing during the actual move. They said they wrapped it in a specific box with other materials but NOPE, wasn’t there. Turns out, the movers conveniently found it in their truck afte the fact — like WTF?! And this was after we caused a scene and filed a claim. DO NOT RECOMMEND! These people are shady.

Local Move

Rated 1 out of 5

We recently hired Beltmann for a local move. I knew I was in trouble when the sales guy didn’t follow through on his promise to get us the boxes that we needed. Next, the movers that showed up did not have the proper equipment (e.g., I had 3 full-sized refrigerators to move yet they had no refrigerator dolly). Of course, when moving the freezer out of my laundry room, they dropped the thing a couple of times while trying to manhandle it with a regular dolly, damaging the cabinets and destroying the kickplate of the freezer. Their packing and wrapping of my furniture was sloppy and caused them to break some dining chairs and a heirloom hutch. When I sent them the repair bills, they had the audacity to charge me a $250 deductible since it is obviously my fault that I should pay for their negligence.

late shipment

Good riddance. It took me a year to cool off before writing this review. Were more than 2 weeks late with our shipment and broke many items, no reimbursement for the delay or broken items.

International move to Canada

Rated 5 out of 5

Had a GREAT experience with the Beltmann San Leandro team for an international move to Canada. Thomas Silvius was prompt and professional during his estimate visit and provided a detailed quote. He took time to explain various options and concerns. Compared to 3 other companies I got quotes from Thomas was light years ahead and gave me the confidence with the company, despite surprisingly mixed reviews in Google and Yelp. OTOH, all the international move companies seems to have mixed reviews. It was Thomas’s professionalism that won me over.
On move day, Reynaldo was the team lead. I have the say his crew was the best I’ve ever had – and I have moved 8 times in the last 20 years! The first thing when they arrive was to lay down protective layers to protect the carpet and hardwood floors. Under Reynaldo’s direction, the team took GREAT care packing and wrapping my stuff. He took care packing and labeling all the loose screws, brackets, etc that are necessary to reassemble the furniture and TV pieces. Every item was individually tagged and inventoried.
Now, the DRAMA. A day after the move was done, I realized I accidentally left my passport in the printer-copier after I made a photo copy for Renaldo. It was a Saturday and I called the office in panic. Surprisingly, Earseleanne Patterson, my move coordinator picked up the phone. She found out that my stuff are still in the warehouse and are being moved onto a truck on Monday. She arranged for us to go on Monday to find the passport before the stuff got moved. When we arrived on Monday, Earseleanne and the warehouse crew very graciously helped us locate the printer. Thanks to Reynaldo’s detailed inventory, we were able to find the printer quickly. To our relief, we found my passport there. So – DISASTER AVERTED thanks to Earseleanne and her warehouse crew.
Now, our stuff is on their way to Toronto and we look forward to receiving them on the other end. At least we have some peace of mind that our stuff are in good hands.
