I will preface this by saying that despite my problems, Berger was leaps and bounds better than the other local company I used this year, which currently has a 4.5 star rating.
First the good: customer service was responsive and friendly and the movers managed to avoid any major damage to any of my items. Items that were boxed by the movers were packed well and clearly labelled.
Now the not so great: I was misquoted by a few hundred dollars. I had the quote in hand ready to sign when I got a follow up call saying “oops we forgot to factor in a local truck it will be a few hundred dollars more”. I really feel since it was their mistake they should have honoured the original quote.
Communication about delivery time was also poor. The quote had a 2 day delivery window written on it and I was out of the country so I made sure someone was home to accept on those days. I had to follow up because the delivery didn’t arrive in the quoted time frame and was then told “oh we thought it wasn’t urgent”. True, this was not an urgent delivery but I would still expect that a company inform their customers if they are not going to meet the quoted window so that people aren’t sitting around waiting for a delivery that isn’t coming. I did get a call the day before my actual delivery stating to expect a noon delivery but that they would call to confirm when on the way. The next morning there was no call and they showed up at 9am. Lucky someone was actually home to let them in.

I truly wanted to leave a better review but I just can’t. I contacted Allied 10 days before my move and was able to set everything up. I set things up with Anthony Humphery and then got passed to Samantha Calderon. Loaders showed up and got everything loaded and out of the house just fine.
During delivery is when everything went wrong. I unfortunately was unable to have the driver deliver on the date needed because my escrow got pushed. It cost an extra $1050 to push it. It was unfortunately pushed again and at this point they had to put it into Allied Storage. At this point it cost an additional $2450 to do so.
I was told by Samantha Calderon that I had to pay for 30 days of storage no matter if I only used it 7 days. This move went from $4000 to $7500. I can understand that I pushed the move but after I called about a credit for the storage days not being used I was told I would not be given a credit because that is there policy.
My stuff was put in Bailey Moving and Storage and it took them a week to deliver everything. Once delivered my boxes were damaged and a dresser was broken. I marked it on the sheet and now nobody will return my calls.

I could not have been more satisfied and happy with the level of service and professionalism exhibited by all the Berger Allied Moving and Storage employees that I interacted with during my move from CA to AZ.
April, Tony, Samantha, and Fernando and his crews – all were so patient, helpful, and supportive during a time that can become pretty stressful! If I had to leave a message, I always got a return call within an hour. The efficiency of the loading and delivery crews was fantastic and amazing. THANK YOU Berger Allied Moving and Storage!!!

This was our first long distance move ever, and we wanted to go with a long established and trusted mover. We contacted Berger Allied Van Lines and the whole process was exceptional. We arranged to have our furniture and possessions loaded and also arranged to have my husband’s car shipped as well. From first contact with the company we received timely updates and follow up calls on how it went. The two men that did our load and unload were incredible, they were efficient and friendly and fast and careful. They had their hands full with our stuff, we had a huge, heavy load and they handled it with no problem. On the delivery date they were prompt, efficient, friendly and professional and I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to have them work for us again and I heartily recommend them. I definitely recommend Berger Allied Van Lines, amazing job!
