Incredibly Slow

Rated 1 out of 5
October 9, 2020

Movers kept trying to pack things we had previously told them weren’t going. We realized several of them were packed after the first day, so it was too late to get them back. Movers took tons of breaks, only worked from 9:30am – 3pm, and were incredibly slow. They were all very nice, but didn’t seem to be motivated to be quick nor efficient in their actions all throughout each day. We had 6,500 lbs of household goods, yet it took them all three days to pack the whole load. They also took several of our furniture pieces and wrapped them in paper outside on the concrete prior to loading. Do not recommend and wish the military would discontinue their contract with Coleman.

Texas to Maryland

If I could I would give this company 0 stars. I only used this company because the military has a contract with them. I had my things moved across state line from Texas to Maryland. First I wanna start by saying the works did not come with masks on there face especially when we are in a time during pandemic. I stayed far away from them while they moved my things with my mask on. I could have refused the serious but I needed my things to be taken and I was on a time crunch to get to my location in Maryland. They got people off the stress to move my things but only the driver was legit. When my things arrived in Maryland the works did not even know which things belong to me. I had to tell them these aren’t my boxes they’re aren’t my lamp and so on. Then I noticed I was missing 3 boxes and my luggage. There response was oh you will get paid for it. That’s not the point the point is I had Sentimental things in those boxes. My military gear were in those boxes and no one can be held accountable for it. The driver says he never seen those boxes when it’s clearly on the inventory sheet. THE MILITARY NEEDS TO STOP DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM!!!!!!!!!! I KNOW THEY MUST BE THE LOWEST BIDDER. But COVAN NEEDS LOSE THE CONTRACT WITH THE MILITARY. And the military needs to take care of there service members. No one is held accountable. No one can locate my things. And all I’m being told is you can get paid for it. They have some crooks working for this company and customer’s and service members BEWARE. If you moving across state lines do the move yourself if you can. This company and their employees are thief’s.

Save your money....go with the cheaper option

I paid for an out-of-state movie with Coleman Allied. $1000 more than the local competitor but they allegedly had a quicker turnaround (lie). Everything was totally fine regarding the packing/pickup, but fell apart when it came to the delivery. All I was given was a delivery date which was the last day in the delivery window. I never heard back from my delivery coordinator. When I reached out to get an actual time window and delivery confirmation the day before the delivery, she was out of the office. They left a message for her and the delivery driver to contact me. I got nothing until the day of the delivery when the driver said that was the wrong delivery date (after I took an unpaid day off work). After rescheduling the delivery with the driver, I spoke with the coordinator’s supervisor who did nothing to acknowledge how they dropped the ball on their end. She didn’t even apologize. If it wasn’t for this, I’d say they were great but because I lost even more money and nothing was “coordinated”, it turned out to be another crap customer service experience.

House move - Dallas to Seattle

We hired this company to pack, move, and store our house items when moving from Dallas to Seattle. This was the worst move I have had experienced. First our movers were teenage boys who had to move very heavy items which led to them dropping a bookshelf and breaking it. Our items were moved from a storage facility near Seattle to another storage facility without us being informed. When calling the storage facility to schedule delivery of the items, no one answered for 3 days. Multiple items were broken and others missing including a roomba vacuum and a whole box. I included pictures that show how our items were stored and boxes (packed and provided by them) were crushed. The only positive experience was my interaction Desiree N**** who was our initial contact and was helpful and responsive

Totally unnecessary stress

Schedules mean absolutely nothing to them. Was scheduled for 1st, 2nd and 5th of July. Moving 3 storage units. Monday they show up at 4pm, totally unprepared to do anything. Thus, nothing gets done. I am told they will call first thing Tuesday to let me know the plan. They don’t. I call them and finally get an answer they won’t be coming on the 2nd, but rather the 3rd! Nice. I have to miss another day of work. On the 3rd, they tell me they will arrive around 1pm. For a variety of reasons they show at 6pm and work about 4 hours. I do not blame the drivers, packers, movers, etc. They are the real workers. I blame the management whom seem incapable of making a schedule, much less sticking to it. So. 4th of July and I am waiting on them to show and am facing the real possibility of having to pack out tomorro also. We are into the 4th day of this planned move and 80% of my stuff has not been touched. This after they tell me 3 days. This after I have rearranged my schedule to accommodate their plan. This includes taking off work for 3 days. Based on their plans, not mine. This company has exhibited a total lack of communication skills and not one person from management has spoken to me, or addressed my concerns. They simply do not respond. I have no recourse other than to wait on them to move my stuff. Moving is stressful, I get that. But this stress is totally unnecessary and this company, at the management, planning and communication level is unacceptable. I have moved 9 times in my adult life, including overseas, and without question this is the worst experience I have ever had. Perhaps when this is in the past I will have a happier review, but at this point, I cannot think of any task I would recommend them for, much less moving.
