Lint did an amazing job unloading my 1-bedroom sized cross-country move. They showed up bright and early on the agreed delivery date, no problem. Their move coordinator Cindy checked in with me on the day of the move to make sure everything was going well, but it was already all done! Linda, Cody and Brady were nice, fast and very careful with all my stuff. They put every item exactly where I asked them to and everything came in perfect condition. They even had to come back to uncrate a large painting (outside their usual scope) and did it cheerfully and quickly. I’d trust them for any moves in the future.

There are the charges that you know of up front but their incompetence costs you a fortune on the back end. I am about to have to spring for a hotel for my family and pet for several days to be able to get some restful nights of sleep and some semblance of comfort. You would be better off finding two felons with a truck to be honest. We’re still awaiting resolution but I’m sure that too, will be delayed, insufficient and underwhelming.
Update: Corporate told us to just be happy we have a date that’s only 4 days away. Some people are still waiting for their furniture 13 days after their promised latest date! 13 DAYS! Their only compensation (based on something in the contract) is $100 per late day which won’t even cover lunch let alone a hotel. Sigh. Don’t use them. I beg you.

My driver and his group from Lint Van Lines, a United Van Lines moving organization in Des Moines inconceivably surpassed my desires moving me from Iowa to Minnesota. They were attentive, cautious , productive and auspicious. They were likewise great conversationalists and incredible diplomats for the business.

Whatever you do, do NOT deal with or work with these people. They contact with United Vanlines who will invoice you directly, but then Lint shows up the day of the move, packs and loads your possessions and then refuses to give them back until you pay Lint additional funds beyond what you agreed to with United. Lint actually told me to write checks out in the names of their employees. If United tries to hire Lint under the United contract, tell United ‘no thanks’ and work with someone else.
