We had a complicated move. Moving from a 1900sf house to a smaller apartment and also putting stuff into storage AND unto our garage for the dump.
The guys showed up on time and they were very helpful and accommodating. We didn’t know to take clothes out of our dressers and they were very nice about that and didn’t complain about going up and down two flights of stairs. The apartment high rise we were moving into had issues with the loading area and they were very cool waiting on having that resolved.
I would highly recommend these guys for any move.

The two crew was on time, efficient, and moved all of our daughter’s belongings with no problem. Very pleased with this business.

We used Mayflower for our long distance move from Eastern Nebraska to Northwestern Colorado. We should have just hauled it ourselves. Much of our belongings were damaged, destroyed, or disrespected. The movers answer to my concerns about how they unloaded the truck was, “It’s okay; we’re insured.” But it’s not okay. I hired someone I thought was reputable because I wanted most of my items to make it across the Rockies. I have never moved a long distance before, and I never had any company as horrible as this one.
We recently entered our storage unit to begin going through things, and were appalled at its organization or lack tthereof. They broke our lawn mower and proceeded to store it ON TOP OF MY PIANO. You cannot make this ** up. I don’t really need a broken lawn mower, so putting it on my PIANO was completely unnecessary. It went to the trash. It was sad enough having to put the instrument in storage, but with my careful storage unit selection, I did not expect it to be destroyed. In addition to the way our items were treated, we also had a problem with billing. We were very clear with the company that we could only give them payment upon arrival because we needed the funds from the closing on our house. They assured us repeatedly that this was fine. 4 days before the move, it was no longer fine. We had to send our college kid with his own personal checkbook so Mayflower would load our house into their truck.
I had already started my teaching position and was not able to be in Nebraska when the movers loaded. I had packed everything weeks before. Half an hour before the movers arrived, we got a call with their arrival time. That was when we found out the truck was destined for Kansas City and Wyoming before it would head toward us. When I found this out, I sent my parents to explain my concerns with this. It was freezing in KC, and they were holding dozens of my Disney snowglobes, which are obviously important to me. My concern was that if they are sitting in parking lot in Kansas City for over a week, the liquid in those large globes would expand and break the glass. No one cared about this concern, and the head mover acted as though my mom was nuts for believing this would happen.
We had specifically moved up our closing date to avoid our belongings from arriving in the same time frame as my school moving into its new building. Well, since my items were missing in action for 8 days, both events coincided. This was very hard on me as a tiny person with fibromyalgia. So basically, nothing went as planned with Mayflower, and I continue to find broken items in my storage unit constantly, long after time to submit claims.

Staff at Mayflower did a good job at moving our family belongings from San Fran to Lincoln . From 4 companies, their quote was the most complete, no hidden costs. We read dreadful reviews about moving long distance online, so we were very cautious with all the companies. However, Mayflower delivered in the window the promised and none of our belongings were lost.

Showed up early and got down to business. No drama or broken stuff. No damage of any kind. Reasonably priced. I gave a four star as the administration could have been a tad friendlier when I first called.
