I did my research but not enough though and decided to go with True Maple Movers. Emily was amazing and had all the right answers (they were lies). I was told my items would be delivered within days.
The guys that came and loaded up the truck were great. Very friendly and took their time and care while packing. We were very impressed.
That’s when everything good ended.
They did their pickup on June 14. Emily said it would be just a few days until they drop off our stuff.
We didn’t hear anything so I called several times and finally I got an answer and the rude guy said something along the line of (don’t know why she said a few days it’s a couple weeks)
We kept calling back and asking for dates.
We moved from ON to NB. We were lied to and told Wednesday then Friday then Saturday etc.
We were in NB for almost 2 weeks with an air bed and two lawn chairs.
Finally over a month after pickup our items arrived. So many items were broken, smashed and dented. Boxes were crushed, my dryer looked like someone threw or dropped a bowling ball on it. There was a hole right through our footboard, scratches and dents on almost every piece of furniture we owned. So many items were broken. Legs snapped of and broken wood on cabinets.
They asked for pictures and a list of damages that we had.
We didn’t even list everything because as we were unpacking we found more damage.
They he up with a settlement of $40
They go by the pound. $0.60 per pound for broken items then a $350 deductible. It doesn’t matter if the item is worth a thousand dollars or ten it’s still the same rate.
I questioned them on it and then they came back at $14
But since it was such a low amount I wasn’t getting anything.
Once the truck is loaded that ask you to sign some pages. It’s all superfine print.
Nothing we packed is covered, nothing made of pressed wood is covered, nothing glass is covered… it went on and on.
I don’t recommend them at all. If you do happen to use them read ALL THE FINE PRINT before they even load up.
They’re nothing but scammers. At no time we’re we told our items would be taken off of the original truck and stored in a storage unit and placed on a transport truck with 3 or 4 other loads before brought to our house.
We feel so frustrated that these parasites could treat people and their possessions with such disrespect.
I’d NEVER recommend them.

This is the most unprofessional moving company I have ever dealt with. There is absolutely no communication between the consultants and the drivers.
They told me that they would work with my schedule and never informed me that I would have to be available full day for the pick up when I had told them my schedule multiple times and every time I was ensured that the driver would work with me! At the last moment, the driver was late and I had to get to work and they refused to give me my deposit back even though the miscommunication and misconduct was through their own employees. In addition, I was treated very rudely by all staff there… DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!

I just used these guys and they were not horrible but not great. I give them a 2 star for somewhat effort.

I will recommend this company to everyone I know!! I am blown away by their amazing services. To start Emily is amazing at doing her job. I could not imagine planning my move without her guidance. She made me feel at ease throughout the whole process. The movers were great as well for the Saskatoon side and Oakville delivery. I am happy with the end total invoice in the end it stayed in line with what we estimated and what I was expecting. Big thanks to everyone there!!

I was extremely disappointed with my move with this company and with the conduct of people in their offices. As a retired military officer I am well acquainted with moving protocols. I was told the move would take up to 2 – 3 weeks and I planned accordingly. When I was in the middle of driving to my new home I was told I needed to be there on Tuesday (about a week earlier than estimated) and when I told them I could not make it until Thu my F&E were delivered much later. My problem with all of this was lack of communication and when I I complained the individual was rude and arrogant. I was also told that the company did not use contractors and both my load and offload were completed with what looked to be day workers. We had a number of items damaged and it was entirely attributed to how it was packaged. Without doubt this was the most expensive and most poorly executed move I have ever experienced.
